LESS SORTING, MORE GETTING ON WITH YOUR DAY

For the paperwork that arrives in batches.

01 / OFFICE MAIL

A shared scanner.
A mixed stack.

Separate incoming correspondence into files you can review and place in the right folders.

02 / BOOKKEEPING CORRESPONDENCE

Keep the supporting
paperwork organized.

Split letters and notices, correct their details, and take a CSV index with you. This is not transaction extraction or accounting software.

03 / HOUSEHOLD PAPERWORK

Make progress on
the paper backlog.

Turn scanned correspondence into individual PDFs without creating another cloud document archive.

YOU KEEP THE FINAL SAY

Open. Review. Download.

The suggestions give you a starting point.
The final grouping is yours to check.

  1. Open your scanned PDF

Choose a file or drop it into the tool. Pages are read in your browser; English text recognition is included.

  2. Check the suggested letters

Split or merge groups, reorder pages, and correct recipients, dates, and document types.

  3. Download organized files

Get a ZIP containing the separate PDFs and a CSV index. No watermark added to your documents.

Start with a small packet. Faded scans, handwriting, rotation, and very large files may need more corrections or may not work well. A missing date can default to the processing date—check it before export. See the full list of limitations.

FREE TO USE

BEFORE YOU OPEN A FILE

A few clear answers.

Are my documents uploaded?

No. PDFs, page images, and recognized text are processed in your browser and are never uploaded. Your browser downloads the app’s own files from this site, and that is all it fetches. The only things ever sent are feedback you choose to write and anonymous usage counts (for example “a PDF finished reading, 12 pages”), which never include file names, text, or images. There are no accounts or cookies.

What does my browser remember?

Your review progress and page-reading results, stored only in this browser so a closed tab can pick up where it left off. Use Forget saved work on this device on the tool’s start screen to remove them. Files you download are yours and are not affected. This is not a secure-erasure guarantee.

Can I trust every suggested split?

No. Review the boundaries and details before exporting. This is a document-organizing aid, not a guarantee of correct interpretation or a replacement for checking important correspondence.

Does this scan physical paper?

Use your scanner to create a PDF first, then open that PDF here. Letter Splitter handles the organizing step afterward.
